The Sr. Manager of Inside Sales is responsible for leading and empowering multiple sales teams to exceed performance objectives. As a multi-faceted manager, the Sr. Manager of Inside Sales typically has additional responsibilities albeit strategic planning and/or operational effectiveness. This person must maintain a high energy, high-impact sales culture with high levels of accountability to achieve business results. Furthermore, a successful Sr. Manager must want the entire company to succeed, including everyone involved as the role is highly matrixed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

People Leadership

  • Manages multiple sales teams, exceeding sales and margin performance expectations

  • Ensures the full and complete compliance of all selling activities within the area of responsibility to business unit standards

  • Creates and maintains a robust sales culture, continually growing a high energy, high-impact and high accountability sales culture – leads with the carrot; macro vs. micromanager

  • Spends majority of their time with sales managers, coaching, developing and improving their abilities to lead a team

  • Successfully communicates clear vision for long term success and sales improvement

Strategic Thinking

  • Strategically attacks results with a well-thought out and widely communicated plan, leveraging people, tools and reporting

  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and leadership acumen as the business continues to expand

  • Forward thinking and solution oriented, is proactive in adapting to and driving change throughout the sales organization

  • Brings innovative and empowering ideas to life; motivates others to succeed; helps Sales Managers effectively communicate business updates

Operational Effectiveness

  • Establish positive, collaborative and team-oriented relationships with key partners from various groups to include sales operations, pricing, marketing, HR, etc.

  • Keen understanding of systems and reporting; knowing their proper use to support business needs. Partners regularly with sales ops for continual improvement of systems and reporting

  • Leads by example, communicating with a compelling position, continually collaborating with and expanding internal and external network of key partners

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related work experience in a sales environment, 2+ years managing a sales team

  • Solid track record of quota attainment

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internal Sales systems

  • Solution oriented, demonstrated ability to solve problems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
