Staples Human Resources Business Partner in Framingham, Massachusetts

The position will partner with the senior leaders to align talent priorities with the business unit strategy and drive comprehensive and fully integrated, sustainable talent programs and plans. This position is responsible for understanding the internal customer’s business needs and requirements for delivering value. The position will conduct needs assessment around a broad range of talent, leadership, diversity, engagement and organizational development services. What you’ll be doing:

  • Serve as a HR partner to the business and own a broad range of talent strategies to maximize growth, development and return on the investment we make in our talent. Consult with leaders to diagnose talent, learning, diversity, engagement and organizational development opportunities through listening, diagnostics, and analytics.

  • Consult with business leaders to understand their goals, roadmaps, and talent challenges

  • Perform analysis of talent metrics and qualitative information to inform strategic people and talent plans using data insights

  • Create and develop strategic people and talent plans that drive business outcomes and solve challenges

  • Lead the delivery of key talent processes and activities (e.g., Success Profile and Assessments, Talent Reviews (9-Box), Calibration Sessions, Succession Planning, Engagement Feedback, Inclusion and Diversity Action Planning, etc.)

  • Manage functional and/or enterprise projects to drive scalable and strategic advancement of the talent strategy that focuses on business specific retention and skill needs

  • Lead engagement feedback and integrates inclusion and diversity strategies into operational processes

  • Provide guidance to internal HR teams in areas such as learning and leadership development, compensation, benefits and organizational development interventions (E.g., Retention, Team Effectiveness, etc.)

  • Demonstration of ability to positively influence others, particularly leadership development and coaching

  • Facilitates functional and/or enterprise learning programs to drive knowledge transfer and business impact

  • Develops policies and practices that are aligned with the operational needs of the business

  • This position may conduct investigations and gather and compile data on individual issues and make recommendations for action based on the compiled findings

What you bring to the table:

  • Ability to collaborate with Talent Management, Total Rewards, Office of Inclusion & Diversity, and other HR partners to utilize insights to build and implement innovative people and talent solutions to drive business outcomes for the organizations that they support

  • Ability to provide guidance to internal HR teams in areas such as learning and leadership development, compensation, benefits, and organizational development interventions (E.g., Retention, Team Effectiveness, etc…)

  • Impeccable customer service, interpersonal, and team building skills

  • Must be proactive, a self-starter, results oriented and take ownership

  • Flexible and agile in your approach to leveraging data and making rapid decisions

  • Willing to get involved in a variety of tasks from high level strategic to detailed and routine tasks

  • Ability to work in dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environment where priorities may change

  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • High degree of accountability and ownership of projects

  • Team oriented attitude; Relationship building skills

Qualifications:

What’s needed - Basic Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience building and implementing scalable, high-quality Talent solutions across diverse teams and locations in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience designing and managing multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision

  • Previous experience in problem solving, analytics, project management, change management tools

  • Previous experience partnering closely with senior executives and executing quickly

  • Previous experience in Human Resources

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications

What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field

  • Previous experience designing strategic Talent solutions for the future, while also managing day-to-day matters
