Staples’ Cyber Security team is a collaborative partner and revenue accelerator for Staples. We combine our unique expertise and knowledge of the business with innovative technology and risk-based, customer-focused solutions to protect our infrastructure and secure our assets.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic Compliance professional who seeks to leverage their existing experience and technical skills to consult and direct Privacy compliance with the ultimate goal of protecting Staples’ associates and customers. Along with consulting and providing guidance to projects directly, the Privacy Analyst is the primary point of contact for Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs). They manage the repository of assessments, conduct privacy assessments, communicate determinations, and produce relevant management reports. This position is an important member of the CyberSecurity team and will work closely with teams all across the enterprise providing Privacy consulting and guidance to ensure effective implementation and adherence to US Privacy Law and Staples Privacy policies and procedures. The Privacy Analyst will report to the Senior Manager CyberSecurity.
EnsureStaples Associates are informed of their Privacy responsibilities
Guideproject teams and provide oversight to ensure projects are delivered incompliance with internal and external Privacy polies, obligations, andregulations
Remaininformed of new and upcoming Privacy legislations
Maintainsubject matter expertise with regard to Privacy, Data Protection, and DataBreach Notifications
Partnerwith all other Staples teams to ensure Privacy obligations are met and tocollaborate on related activities such as Risk, Security, Legal, etc.
You are passionate about the requirements and evolution of Privacy law, current and future, and are able to apply it to real world situations in easy to understand terms. You love to learn about all aspects of the business and working with all parts of the company to protect our customers and associates.
TheSkills You Bring
2-5years of Privacy experience in a multi-disciplined organization
Strongworking knowledge of existing Privacy Law and compliance implementation
Workingknowledge of other related compliance programs (e.g., PCI, SOX, etc.)
Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to communicatelaterally and hierarchically
Strongtime, process, and project management skills to manage multiple activities overextended periods of time
Abilityto demonstrate adaptability and flexibility within strong problem solvingskills
