Job Summary:

This position is an integral component of the Merchandising department, reporting to the Director of P&MS Merchandising. This role has two main objectives - Operations/Project management and performance management, which it delivers through strong cross-functional partnership between the Staples Business Units (Merchandising, POG, Promo, Store Operations and Marketing).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for identifying opportunities to drive business efficiency that directly and indirectly affect Print SBA, Midmarket and Enterprise sales team productivity

• Build matrix relationships with functional areas and lead all project management efforts to drive a successful outcome for identified projects

• Assume dotted line responsibility for matrixed project teams such as pricing, marketing & SDS

• Track, report and present initiative/project progress to management teams

• Identify, build and present Return On Investment analysis for each opportunity in scope

• Actively participate in merchandising, sales and operations management meetings to both receive and deliver Business Efficiency updates

• Represent Merchandising organization and E-commerce in appropriate projects across Staples

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or 6-8 years of relevant work experience required

Preferred:

• Two years’ experience working directly in a project management or process improvement role

• Process Excellence or Six Sigma credentials preferred

• Experience in sales, sales support or customer support organization

• Presentation skills

• Intermediate or Advance MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Skills

• MS Project or Visio knowledge preferred

• MS Access experience preferred
