What you’ll be doing:

Support Staples Promotional Products’ Margin Program Manager, Account Services Management teams, and Field Sales Management and is integral in assisting those teams achieve margin and profitability goals by ensuring that the pricing for each client’s product selection is properly developed, executed and is in compliance with the terms & conditions in client legal contracts.

By accurately maintaining the pricing and margin integrity of the product selection throughout the client relationship, the associate assists Staples Promotional Products in the retention of their extensive and diverse client base.

Starting Salary: $21/hr

  • Verification of product set up and accuracy of cost configuration in relationship to item pricing guidelines, generation of pricing matrices to assist Management with price and margin comparisons.

  • Perform analysis of all price and margin variances of new products, and current prices of existing products; applicable pricing alternatives are developed and recommended to ensure that product prices and margins remain in alignment with SPP’s policy guidelines and the client’s contract

  • Contribute to the generation of new and/or an increased sales volume by collaborating with cross-functional teams and Management to facilitate timely project completion and activation of product selection and pricing on new and existing client websites and/or print catalogs

  • Executing discounts for product selections for inventory closeouts or liquidation, audits item pricing for margin integrity, presents and recommends alternative price configurations as necessary

  • Responsible for independently managing a high volume of projects simultaneously, executing them accurately and within specified project lead times

  • Support SPP’s company-wide margin initiative by proactively auditing margin and cost change reports, identifying item margins below client target margin goal and reprices items in accordance with client’s contract

Qualifications :

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (concentration in analytical, financial, business or accounting)

  • Minimum 2+ years prior work experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational ability

  • Capable of managing a variety of projects simultaneously, yet flexible in meeting/handling multiple and changing priorities

  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Word and Excel with excellent knowledge of Algebraic formulas

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Proofreading skills required

  • AS400 proficient
