What you’ll be doing:

  • Source and present apparel, headwear, and ad spec merchandise to clients. Make sure the program meets target expectations for SKU’s, margins, and client satisfaction.

  • Develop and maintain all speed sku product menus for client projects. Execute art and decoration requests. Confirm product pricing and complete PowerPoint presentations when requested by Team.

  • Communicate with vendors regarding product and sample features, availability, and cost. Follow-up on all product details for customer catalogs/websites, provide merchandise layout direction.

  • Assists with the training and development of staff. Assists with Associate Merchandiser duties as needed.

  • Travel as needed to other site locations Kansas City/Orange City/St. Louis; annual account visits; tradeshows as needed.

  • Use product expertise for forecasting and development of client collections to be featured in online selling platforms.

  • Build relationships with key vendors for appropriate product placement on client online stores.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop core strategies that meet the needs and timelines of client projects.

  • Present trend forecasts, facts/features/benefits of products, and how the products meet the needs of clients and their end users.

  • Proactively provide solutions for projects that require creativity, problem solving, and strong interpersonal skills

What you bring to the table:

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Ability to serve as a role model to teammates while supporting teamwork and strong communication.

  • Retail product expertise and knowledge of trend forecasting and research.

  • Ability to manage sample budgets for client accounts and effectively decide what is the best solution for the most impactful client experience and profitability.

  • Understanding of how to execute client projects on time and on brand while partnering with cross functional team members.

  • Demonstrated understanding of retail product trends, trend forecasting, and product assortment development.

  • Microsoft Office; Outlook, PPT, Excel, Word.

Qualifications:

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong “business” communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and support functions

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Visual and creative merchandising skills and abilities.

  • Creative trouble-shooting skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good leadership skills (planning and organizational).

  • Ability to learn and apply new technology
